Do the stars gaze back? That is the question.Watch Stardust! It is unlike most of anything you've ever seen. The book version was my parents' birthday gift to me many years back, and it was nice to see people moving in to translate it into motion picture reality. Most of the scenes were spot on, and there were welcome liberties the film makers took to make it a plausible fantasy. The settings were so surreal, and though I never really liked Claire Danes (even after Evening), the team up with Charlie Cox (whose dorkiness morphs into a man) was unexpectedly effective. It is a love story, a coming of age story, a faerie tale, a fable, an adventure, just about everything you would expect to come from the mind of that one great master storyteller. I love you, Neil!
